Healthcare & Medical Safety Ontario
Healthcare workers face unique and serious occupational hazards — from violence and ergonomic injuries to infectious disease exposure. Monarch builds practical safety programs for medical offices, clinics, and healthcare facilities across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.
Industry-Specific Risks We Address
- ✓Workplace violence — patient/client aggression is the leading hazard in healthcare
- ✓Ergonomic injuries — patient handling, lifting, and sustained postures
- ✓Needlestick and sharps injuries — bloodborne pathogen exposure
- ✓Infectious disease and biological hazards — respiratory pathogens, COVID, influenza
- ✓Chemical hazards — disinfectants, sterilants, anesthetic gases, and lab chemicals
- ✓Slip, trip, and fall hazards in patient care environments
- ✓Shift work and fatigue — one of the most overlooked hazards in healthcare
Regulatory Framework
